Jhene Aiko Signs New Record Deal With Def Jam!

Exciting news!!
Jhene Aiko is having the best week ever! Late last night california songstress Jhene Aiko announced via her twitter page that she has officially signed a record deal with producer No I.D at Def Jam records (pictured above) !!!
No I.D, who is a producer and VP over at Def Jam, has worked with many artists including Jay-Z, Kanye West, Jermaine Dupri and Common over the years and was also formerly the president of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D records.
As far as record deals go, this will be Jhene’s second go round since she was previously signed to Chris Stokes T.U.G record label when she was 13 years old, but after many album delays and her urge to finish school came around she opted to released from her contract and became a mother at the age of 20.
In March on 2011, Jhene released her critically acclaimed independent mixtape ‘Sailing Souls’ which immediately lauched her back into the spotlight and sparked lots of interest in her career.
Jhene is currently finishing up her next project ‘Souled Out’ which should be out in the coming months.
